MOULAGE

MOULAGE EXPLAINED!  Moulage is the art of applying fake injuries for the purpose of CASUALTY SIMULATION and training emergency response teams and other medical/military personnel or First Aiders. Moulage may be as simple as applying "wounds" to a healthy "patient's" limbs, chest, head, etc., or as complex as using makeup and theatre techniques to provide elements of realism (such as blood, vomitus, open fractures, etc to the training simulation.

KATE IS AN EXPERIENCED MOULAGE ARTIST with over 15 years experience and has been working with the NHS, the FIRE & RESCUE services and other large organisations who need to create Training Exercises and Drills to put their First Aiders through emergency life-like scenarios, testing their skills in realistic situations.  Coming face to face with casualties with extreme injuries will test your staff not only on their medical/first response skills but how they react when that alarm call goes off.  Kate has been lead moulage artist in many different situations - from working 20meters under London on the new Elizabeth Line tube when it was built and more recently onboard a Cross-Channel Ferry for DFDS, completing a huge training exercise with over 40 casualties. Kate also  provides the Moulage for ADVANCED TRAUMA LIFE SUPPORT exams at many NHS hospitals.  The injuries she creates are medically, anatomically and physiologically correct.

FEEDBACK:   "was a pleasure working with you Kate.  You were easy to communicate with prior to the drill and easy to work with once onboard. I know you came prepared, but what you achieved in 2 hours on a slightly choppy crossing was amazing. The crew and ‘passengers’ are still talking about the moulage even now.  When we do this type of drill again I shall have no doubts about calling upon your services and I shall be recommending you to our Sister Vessels too for when they do their large drills".
