December and January are always quiet months of the year for me. Filming tends to slow down, pantos are all prepped and ready to go, schools are busy doing other things and as I’m not generally considered a “beauty” makeup artist, the Christmas party scene doesn’t really involve me from a work point of view so for my blog this time I thought I’d do a look back on some Before and After work I've done, showing the quite dramatic changes that can be achieved through “theatrical” makeup! All my work is “out-of-kit” makeup, meaning that I apply silicone gel (where needed, such as noses, eye bags etc) directly to the skin rather than preparing pre-made or pre-cast prosthetic pieces and the rest is makeup which I buy from Tilt Professional Makeup http://tiltmakeup.com/ in Camden, London who supply me with everything I need.
